We recieved an invite to this gorgeous fashion show in central London, so we sent our lovely Em Milli down to discover the newest powerhouse causing a stir in the women’s lingerie sector.
La Dama Lingerie celebrated their one year anniversary on Saturday 14th August 2021 by hosting a fashion show displaying their latest pieces. This took place at the modern and contemporary Old Street gallery in London, a home for the arts, setting the tone for creativity.
The Founder and CEO, Chelsea Griffin closed the show with a bang! It was enlightening to hear her speech on diversity amongst women and how crucial it was to let this be the main driving force behind the collection. La Dama’s slogan ‘Your natural is beautiful and exotic’, really flowed throughout the live show.
For a first time production, I must say it was well put together. I was greeted at the door and directed where to be seated / stood. The venue was beautifully decorated. It had a minimal display with a black, gold and touch of pink theme. The guests were treated with a welcome drink, cupcakes were available and a bar where more drinks were served. VIP were seated at front row and press were given a good view of the pieces. They went for a sparkling reflective mirror theme as the runway.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how amazing the collection was. It adopted vibrant colours, edgy style, and bestowed a sexy, but classy show. This was all done providing designs that were suitable for all body shapes, sizes and styles. I loved how confident, free and unique all the beautiful models were. It was inspiring. I must admit, it made me want to get up there and join them! This goes to show how much La Dama Lingerie draws you in. From the cheers and smiles in the room, it was clear the feeling was mutual.
At the end of the show, we were given the opportunity to network and discuss the collection in more detail. It was a room full of inspired individuals, from all walks of life, age and backgrounds, all coming together to support La Dama Lingerie’s one year anniversary fashion show. We didn’t have the chance to speak to Chelsea on the night, however we can see she has no plans of slowing down, anytime soon!
